Ingredients (Serves 4)
Main Ingredients:
- 2 cups soaked chickpeas (overnight)
- 2 onions (finely chopped)
- 2 tomatoes (pureed)
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tbsp oil

- 2 tbsp BMB Chole Masala
- ½ tsp BMB Haldi Powder
- 1 tsp BMB Lal Mirch Powder
- 1 tsp BMB Dhaniya Powder
- ½ tsp BMB Jeera
- ½ tsp BMB Garam Masala
- Salt as per taste
Step-by-Step Punjabi Chole Masala Recipe
Step 1: Boil Chickpeas
Pressure cook soaked chickpeas with salt until soft (4–5 whistles).
Step 2: Prepare Tadka
Heat oil in a pan.
Add BMB Jeera and let it crackle.
Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Step 3: Add Tomatoes & Spices
Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates.
Now add:

- BMB Lal Mirch Powder
- BMB Dhaniya Powder
- BMB Chole Masala
Cook for 2–3 minutes.
Step 4: Add Chickpeas
Add boiled chickpeas with some cooking water.
Mix well and cook for 10–12 minutes on low flame.
